Grilled Shitake Mushrooms


Grilled shitake mushrooms

Ingredients:

1 package dried shitake mushrooms

Water to cover

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp safflower or olive oil

 

Directions:

1.       Soak dried shiitake for 1/2 hour in warm water to cover.

2.       Drain and remove stems with sharp knife.

3.        If mushrooms are very large u may wish to cut them in half.

4.       While trimming mushroom stems preheat wok. 

5.       Add butter and oil to heated wok.

6.       Immediately add shiitake and begin tossing them in the hot butter-oil mixture.

7.       Toss shiitake continuously until they are tender or about 2 -3 minutes.

8.       If you like them crispy allow to sear for minute or two longer.

9.       Put on plate and enjoy.
